THE Sydney Swans must kick the habit of starting the season with a stagger rather than a swagger if they are to have a realistic shot at a third successive grand final berth.
That is the prognosis of co-captain Leo Barry who believes the pressure the club has heaped on itself to climb a mid-season mountain over the past two campaigns can't realistically be sustained in 2007.
The Swans were 1-3 after four rounds in 2006 and 2-4 in 2005 and Barry - on the way back to fitness after a shoulder reconstruction - last night warned: "Our slow starts to the season are a concern and it's something we're working hard on to fix.
