Regarding now only having 2 children's tickets rather than 4, that means you also don't have these 2 children's tickets to use to upgrade to "adult" tickets. Since there are no "guest passes" for the SCG, the children's tickets are handy to take friends etc to the game.

Legally SMFC have no right to ask for more money if they have already debitted your credit card or you have paid for it. If they accidentally debited the wrong amount, different story. However, if you payed what they asked and what was advertised, they have no recourse.

$835 was deducted from my CC on 29/11/06.

I'll give it a week to see if they reply to my email.

Ange (or others) who suggested it, how do I go about emailing or contacting Myles direct?

As this group had booked the table as soon as bookings opened they were less than pleased. A number of them contacted Myles to express their displeasure. I know Wardy received a telephone call from Myles apologising and provided invitations to the pre-dinner cocktail drinks and I don't think they were moved out of the main room.
Alternatively you could have a word with the OFT.

If $835 was the advertised amount, then the bill of sale is complete and there is no further recourse available to them. It's really going to be up to you to give them the money if they ask for it. I wouldn't, but I'm a bastard!

BBB just phone the sydney office on 9339 9123 and ask for Myles say you have a question for him as you have membership and wish to address the question to him directly.

I've already given them the extra $50. I gave them the money over the phone when they rang.

I'm not really arguing that issue, although as many have suggested I have a good reason to do so, I'm arguing the fact I have lost the extra 2 childs tickets and feel in the circumstances I am not being unreasonable in asking for those 2 tickets for the season proper, even if they are not included in Premiership Club allocation.

I may add, I haven't directly asked anybody at the club if I can have the extra 2 tickets in good faith due to the clubs mistake. Let's wait and see if they respond to my email sent last week. If nothing is forthcoming, I'll attempt to contact Myles and get his take on the situation and if he believes my request is unreasonable.

                    I'll keep interested folks posted.

EDIT: Just saw your post Mac. Thx, I'll call him early nest week.

I didn't email mine as didn't have his address. I used the old fashioned way of doing it. I typed a letter and posted it.

If you can't get hold of Myles via phone, you could send the email to the Membership department but addressed to him.

Good result. Received this from the Membership Dept. this afternoon.

                        Hi Bob

I think you may have misunderstood or perhaps Julie has misinformed you when she has contacted you.

You will not lose any memberships (in terms of the number of members) the element you will lose is the Premiership Club benefit (guarantee to a GF ticket should we qualify and backpack). The remaining members who have not have the Premiership Club premium paid will be classified as Full Club members instead.

The reason we can't sell this package is because family memberships in the members reserve have an inconsistent number of child memberships attached to each package. Due to this it is impossible to charge correctly for the package as Premiership Club membership has a fee ($85 for an adult and $50 for a junior) and it is unfair to other members who pay extra for the privilege. It should never have been printed in the brochure and for that we apologise, it was a simple error that was missed in our proofing.

All your members will remain for 2007 season with two Adults and two of the children considered Premiership Club members and two children considered Full Club members.

If there is any confusion with the above, please do not hesitate to ring me for clarification.

                        Regards
                        Natalie

Very happy with that result. Not now and it never was my intention to push the 'legally they can't do it' line.

Just good that I received a reply and it's all systems go for 2007.

Sounds good, and the fact that you are happy shows it to be a good result.
