    Schneider Man Injury?

Usually a hamstring injury is about 4-7 weeks on the sidelines right? Does anyone know if he'll be right for the start of the season proper?

From what I heard, they don't know yet how serious it is.

Funny thing was he didnt have ice on it for very long - maybe a grade 1, or maybe a strain. no idea as of yet.
Its not the hamstring from 2004, its his other one so i dont know if thats good or bad.
It was such a non-event, he was just going through a gap to kick and then pulls up really short.
Hope hes ok and heres hoping this doesnt harm his confidence and his fitness cause he looked good up until the injury.
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

Agree LS. Apart from one errant kick, he was playing well. Perhaps it won't be too bad.

i agree with LS- it didn't look too serious ... they didn't ice it for too long and then he just went and sat down. it will be interesting to hear the diagnosis because he looked like he was in a lot of pain when he came off.

moore also looked to sprain his ankle and it definitely wasn't too serious. they iced it, elevated it and strapped it ... he was standing up and testing it as well and it didn't look so bad.

              3rd quarter I think.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I was sure he started on the field for the 4th quarter.. i must be thinking of someone else, or maybe the beginning of the 3rd quarter.

It was mid way through the 3rd quater.

The people in front of us kept calling Schneids Simpkins and Simpkins Schneids - they do look a like!

Im hoping its not too serious, cause otherwise he has a major chronic injury there, considering we are still unsure as to why hamstrings tear and why they are susceptible to reinjury in a season (remember in 2004 he tore the same hammy twice). We know when it occurs - acceleration and kicking motions - but not why. So god knows what must be going through his mind. I hope he doesnt lose focus, fitness and confidence cause we need him firing.

I don't know why they put ANY of our decent players in these matches. It's not worth the risk. Keep them out until the home and away starts.

I'm just as concerned about Moore. He looked the goods last year, in patches, and i was expecting bigger things from him in '07. Let's hope they're both firing by round 1 or 2 Otherwise it was a great night for Sydney's kids.

Depends on the grading of the tear which they find out this afternoon from the scan. May only be a few weeks however with his history they may be more cautious.

Im more worried about lost fitness, confidence and reinjury throughout the season. Couldnt have been a worse start to the season.

One of the reasons of our success in the last two seasons was the lack of injuries. Now I'm nervous already.
