    Relax, it's February.

The club know what they're doing - he won't be back before he's ready.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

He was actually on crutches after the game, so lets hope its not too serious.

It has been shown that stretching doesnt prevent injuries such as strains and tearing recently.
The statistic thats worrying is that, in AFL in particular, hamstring tears have a 39% reinjury rate - thats a high statistic
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

Stretching is probably involved in a complex, interactive and multifactorial relation with hamstring strain. However, stretching may be beneficial only if the technique employed and the stretch holding times are adequate; the number of repetitions of a stretch may not be important.

The flexibility training protocols currently used by the professional football clubs need to be reviewed to ensure consistency in the use of static stretching/PNF with a stretch holding time of 15-30 seconds.

What are the reinjury stats on dislocated shoulders?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I get my information from the 2006 Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine so if others have a different opinion fine but the evidence in these journal papers is compelling.
As for dislocated shoulders - not sure, only interested in the lower extremity.

Shoulder dislocations can be very varied in recovery time due to the elasticity of ones ligaments. Some players are lucky in that the shoulder may pop back in quickly either naturally or aided but other, for example Chris Judd has had alot of surgical procedures to correct repetitive dislocations. He had had both shoulders reconstructed as a junior, probably the reason he wasn't the number one draft pick.

                    Adam Schneider hamstring strain

Should return for round 1 barring a recurrence.

I saw the Schneider injury occur on the news the other night, and he really did stop like he'd been shot.

Considering the current environment, you gotta love the ad banner within that injury update link.

Maybe Keiran went to check on his injury and clicked the banner by accident !

LOL!. And accidently pressed the "Bet Now!" button.

Jeffers, It looked pretty bad when it happened, but given his history, he may have panicked as soon as it happened, thus the sudden stop.

                            Thanks Scott.

So Schneider out for at least a month so probably out of round 1 at least due to his history.

Great news on Moore though. That ankle looked pretty bad at the time.
