Simon Goodwin of Adelaide and Daniel Ward of Melbourne have been named as 2 of the 4 AFL players that are being investigated for betting on AFL matches and/or events.
Goodwin has fessed up to placing bets on matches not involving the Crows and Ward involvment isn't known but a few year back had to seek out help from the Demons to help pay off Gambling debts involving horse racing to a well known Melbourne bookmaker.
2 other players are yet to be named but seeing as the first two have, its only a matter of time before they are named.
If found guilty the player involved can be fined up to $100,000 and receive an indefinite ban from playing and attending AFL matches (ie. what amounts to a Pete Rose - like Life Ban from Baseball, where he was banned from baseball for life but could be re-admitted at anytime at the commissioners choosing).
