I'd have 1 central senior umpire - 4 boundry umpires, that can rule on the field and 1 goal umpire at each. Maybe its the blocked sinuses sloly crushingmy brain, but this doesn't seem like such a bad idea. The central umpire has ultimate power (and thereby deminishes the inconsistancy that is rife between some umpires during a game) while the four boundary umpires are his extra eyes, who can call frees (but not ball-ups) and can be over-ruled by the central umpire. And the goal umpires can go back to wearing those awesome bowler hats instead of that baseball crap they've been wearing recently.Originally posted by Bloody Hell
