The old perennial no 14 thread. It was only a matter of time before some learned person trotted it out again.

Yeh, why dont we give to Bevo, he will probably have the inglorious record of being the only player to wear the number NOT to play a game with it on his back. Gee I am glad they didn't throw it to him a couple of years back when his stocks were higher than Joe Cocker.

On the serious side why dont we give it to Jesse White (the next Plugger) on spec. Is there anyone at South who has the intestinal fortitude to take a a punt on the lad and put their neck on the line.

Actually I blame Mathews for Plugger's failed comeback. Eade also for the lack of respect for the big man.

Good point, a big bloke would only have Allender and Byrne to live up to.

Now hang on there Roy Oldboy, Stephen Allender was a star at Port, so he did come with a bit of a rap. The fact that he was pretty ordinary in the big time is not his fault he was given the coveted 14.

Supports my specualtion on giving it to Jesse 'the gun" White.

            Yep, I will Nico.

I reckon Malceski can ...gasp...win a Brownlow! Not while Goodesy is there mind you.

He is the best footpasser we have and played a great game under pressure in the GF (disclosure... I only saw it live).

I reckon he will be the key (besides the Dual) this year.

              Of course.

              Someone changed his nickname.

I'd say no to Eski, he's already on his second number and making a name in 9.

I agree with giving it to a new guy - not an on-baller - and taking some of the pressure off it.

Eski is the name given him by some on this forum. The players still call him Mal.

Surely you agree, an Eski is much 'er than Mal.

Eski is MUCH cooler lol, but considering our players came up with nicknames like Hally and Kirky, i never expected them to use a top name like Eski
