LRT out 'til at least round 7

According to Roos quote in the Hun.

Says he (LRT) didn't understand he was injured at the end of last year, leading to delay in getting it treated.

Doesn't the fact that something is hurting badly usually signal that you are injured?

I was disappointed when I read those quotes from Roos.

When injury management goes well it seems to be all praise to the Medical Staff, but when an injury takes longer to heal than they thought it seems to be the fault of the player....and its the player who should do things differently in hindsight.

Injury management is partly working with younger players to ensure they do the right things. Perhaps the wrong thing in the first place was playing him at the end of last year and making the injury worse....maybe the club should do things differently in hindsight.

I don't see anything wrong with the comments from Roos. They weren't derogatory, rather they are what he sees as facts IMO.

This particular line gave me a bit of a giggle...

"Sometimes young players aren't aware of what is an injury," Roos said."

No LRT, Ablett or Schneider for the opening game against a quality opposition = We're screwed.

All three are Significant contributors and will be surely missed.

It's a fine line between being a blood brother and being a bloody idiot.

I must admit I found them a bit strange. They did know he had a foot injury at the end of last year - so you'd think they'd have checked it out to make sure it was OK.

I know and agree what you are saying, but if the kid gets asked and he says "it's fine" then generally you would take his word for it. I'll bet in the future they won't just take his word for it.
