    Crouch was right

Looks like the media is writing more lies, this time about Leo Barry

At least the media department is onto it...

As soon as I saw this article in today's paper, I immediately gathered someone asked Leo a question and he gave a generalised answer, then it was turned around as if he made the statement. Happens all the time and must be extremely frustrating for anyone in the spotlight. Rubbish journalism.

Leo backpedalling at a rapid rate...

I have read one direct quote on this from Leo. If he said anything more, I am surprised that it has not been quoted too. From the quote that has been published, it is clear that someone has twisted it to come up with a sensationalist headline that doesn't reflect what Leo said.

So how exactly is he backpedalling?

There is a middle ground between a) "idolising" anyone to ever pull on the RWO, assuming they are all angels who would never transgress, and believing them above all criticism; and b)this practice, by a few, to grasp with both hands any possible opportunity to sneer at any comment made to the media, regardless of whether or not it is taken out of context.

You've misinterpreted my tongue-in-cheek comments on Barry. I should have used a .

Still, I didn't see any media article saying that Barry said it was "rife in the AFL".
