watching the game on a semi-big screen with a Chelsea match in the background on the HUGE screen with the volume pumped up just does not compare to the real thing for some reason..

Give him a chance to build strength and develop, there is no rush.

White is also little chance of making his debut this year, although I'd be less surprised then if DOK gets a gig as he has a well developed body.

I cannot understand everybodys rush to get these first year players into the seniors. . It didn't do Goodes' career any harm spending his entire first year in the seconds.
I'm not advocating playing DOK or any other youngster for the sake of it.

All I am saying is that we as a team will be better placed come finals time if we have injected some further pace into the midfield rotations by then.

If DOK, Laidlaw, Jack, Simpkins or Thorton are in a postion to get a game in the seniors I beleive we need to be playing one or two of them as part of our midfield rotations.

Lack of size and strength didn't stop them rewarding Phillips with a few games last year, his first at the club. And while that wasn't an overwhelming success, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that a first year player could debut this year.

When they drafted DOK, the Swans said he was the type of player they expect to develop quickly, which is a different message to the one normally given out about new draftees.

None of us is really in a position to judge how advanced he is relative to the likes of Laidlaw, Schmidt et al until he's had a chance to string a few games together. Thus far its been just a gentle run in the Bus Stop scratch match plus one reserves game for him. We need a few more weeks to get a sense of what he can do.
