    Braun's acceptance speech.

Surely the AFL have had enough of the West Coast and will act on Braun's speech for the Glendinning Medal.

I had sympathy for Quentin Lynch when he dropped F-bomb when a microphone was shoved in his face 60secs after winning a flag by a point. Who wouldn't in that circumstance.

But to stand up on national television to accept an award and drop the F-bomb, then go back smiling and laughing like a schoolboy to greet your equally grubby teammates who are almost wetting themselves with laughter !!!

Very disappointing from Braun but at least Woosha apologised on his behalf when interviewed after the speech. There is a 5 or so second delay on TV coverage for a reason...
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Either no delay on Fox or they were too slow. Came through loud and clear on my TV.

They keep this up and I'm going to hate this mob more than Collingwood

Before we jump on them too much, watch the interview with Leo immediately after the end of the 2005 GF. Admittedly the circumstances were more like those of Lynch a year later, but I guess it is pretty easy to let something slip in the heat of the moment.

The whole point was this WASN'T a heat of the moment thing.

Did you miss the part when I said I had sympathy for the Lynch circumstances?

Daniel Kerr seemed to enjoy it the most

No, I believe I acknowledge the parallel.

Even at the presentation ceremony, I reckon they'd still be pretty pumped. I am not condoning Braun's slip but it's hardly the biggest crime ever committed.

Doubt anybody thinks it is, but it is just another unnecessary West Coast related incident the AFL would prefer to have not happened for the sake of image.

That's twice you've tried to put words into the mouths of all the posters in this thread, so, whatever...

                      Braun's acceptance speech

A minor detail through the speech was the dropping of the f-bomb,in fact i didnt even notice it as i was more thrown by the rest of the speech even though it lasted barely 2 sentences. the commentators picked it up straight away, didnt know what to say to it. he said " thanks to all the fans for sticking with us through the rough times"...
the eagles have been cruising for some time now...some hard times being the premiers and playing in the last few grannys...
If somebody says to you, "Can I ask you a question?"....isn't it a little too late?

I've put no words into anyone's mouth. I merely provided my own opinion on something that is apparently worthy of starting its own thread.

I'm moving on. You can too if you want.

It's pretty poor, but it's not a huge issue. Seems like there's an aim to have a go at WC about anything.

If they have an incident-free pre-season then there's no ammunition to fire.
