Barry Hall - Carrying his injury

He has to be. He barely moved up the ground, no where near as often as he usually does.

He was unusually slow on the lead, and was not able to shake Rutten once.

    His kicking is getting worse.

Surely he is carrying his injury. Rest him.

Disagree. Rutton was supurb and the disposal to Hall was appalling tonight.
    Swannies for life!

Could be something in this - Rutten ran off him way too easy tonight.

No excuses for Hall. He is way over-rated. Even when he supposedly plays well he does lots and lots of stupid things. In last years Prelim Final against Freo people waxed lyrical about his game because he kicked I think six goals. But he did tons of crap things, crap disposals, crappy decision-making. I was there and I thought he was useless. Just got some easy ones in the last when Freo had given up.
Sorry but I am not a Hall lover.

Geez Nolie, kick a man when he is down. Bazz is definitely a bit off colour at the moment...I think it may be a combination of both an injury and just a general downer in form. As for the "stupid things" you suggest he does so often, I think you are being a tad melodramatic there. I think you may have to use your memory a bit more and forget about his recent games. I agree that he does do stupid things occassionally, but even the great man Judd also does these. I think Bazz is frustrated more than anything at the moment because he is just not getting his hands on the ball enough. The crows made it absolute hell for him tonight and that was definitely evident in his demeanour (e.g. when he slammed the ball in to his opponents stomach). What really annoys me in this situation is that we don't seem to have an alternative plan for when teams double, triple and quadruple team against Bazz. I mean, we have so much talent in the forward line that we must be able to have somebody else either uncontested or who can take some one-on-one marks when teams are focusing on Bazz like this.

Let me finish by saying that I reckon Bazz is an out and out champion. Champions have these slumps in form. What makes them champions is that they come out of them better players. I think he will show his true mettle over the next couple of rounds.
          Go you mighty BLOODBOYS!
