Micky O - O dear, the yips are back.

How did ever get to this point from being the most accurate team in 2003? And we were kicking them from the pockets as well.
I'd go one step further a declare that McVeigh is more off a liability than help to the team. Absolute pathetic if you ask me.....

I reckon my Double Blues could teach the Swans a thing or two.

Results from Sundays game @ Alberton

      League Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 T
      Port 3.4 7.8 15.13 16.18 114
      Sturt 4.0 10.2 13.3 20.3 123

34 scoring shots to 23 and lose the game ha ha!!!!

it was painful to watch - we may have had more luck putting leaping leo in the forwards!

don't know what went wrong but lets hope it is fixed by the weekend

Against Adelaide away from home I';m starting to think it isn't just a co-incidence that our goal-kicking is poor. To be it is an indication of how unsettled Adelaide had had us. No team plays us better that the Crowbots, I'm afraid.

I can't accept this I'm afraid - sure Crows' pressure certainly impacts your disposal in normal play (& I guess partly explains brain explosions from Buchanan & Goodes when bouncing the ball) but I don't see how it impacts set shots - doesn't matter how good you are at jumping up & down on the mark & screaming "Ya Mum wears gumboots", AFL players should be scoring those goals.

BTW did anyone else think it especially cruel that our first three shots at goal were taken by McVeigh, Bolton and Buchanan, the Triangle of Goal-Kicking Ineptitude?

The correct expression uses "armyboots". I'm sure gumboots could be made to be quite attractive!!!

Ironic, but I have a rider to this. There are several Swannies who, no matter how badly they performed after, will for ever and ever be forgiven by me.
              1. NIck Davis, whose last quarter magical effort against Geelong in the semi-final, handed us the 2005 premiership. Without it, we wouldn't have been there.
              2. Bazza's "captain's goal" to get us in touch in the 2005 GF, after Noggy's stuffup.
              3. Monty's premiership-winning goal that gave us back the lead.
              4. Leo's mark that may have saved the game...

Monty is quite at liberty to spray the occasional kick...he's actually lived every boy's dream...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

This is the post of the year! Those 4 definitely played their part in giving all Sydney supporters the thing we've been craving for generations!! Monty's goal in the final quater of the GF is usually lost amongst the praise for Leo's mark, but i'll never forget that tap by Ball and that accurate snap from Monty.
