    Davis may return this week.

    Roos kicks the Swans' behinds
The poor return may result in sharpshooter Nick Davis - who certainly does not suffer Bambi syndrome - being rushed back into the seniors ahead of schedule following his recovery from a foot injury sustained in round one.

"It's always hard with Davo because he's missed a bit of footy, but one thing you always know with Davo is when the ball is in his hand, he generally makes things happen," Roos said. "So that's something we'll have to discuss at match committee [meeting on Wednesday] to make sure he's fit, firstly.

"But he certainly comes under consideration when you come off a game where you kick 5.14, and where everything else is going pretty well. You're trying to address a problem, and he's one who can immediately address that situation."
That is the closest I've seen Roosy come to praising Davo in quite a while
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

      We desperately need him!

I agree with stellation - good to see Roos speak positively about Nic Davis
        Love those Swans

                Oh FFS. GENIUS.

Genius is Ablett, Carey, Lockett, Hird, Voss, Buckley, Kelly. Perhaps even Judd, Goodes, Cousins & Kerr.

He might be good, but genius?

Plugger, God, Bucks etc were/are all Champions, but that doesn't make it genius.

Only 'genius' can kick four goals in one quarter in that kind of match.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Very true Claret! He single-handedly dragged us from the depths of despair that night.

How many of those players won a final off their own boot (kicking a point doesn't count!)? probably Ablett's effort in 1989 goes closest to Davo's, but even God couldn't get his team over the line.

I have no doubt that had Ablett in 1989 being playing in that 2005 final for Sydney he would have creamed the cats. Absolutley blitzkrieged them. Davis had a good game, that doesn't make him a genius.

I have spoken to him a number of times. He is not a genius. From what I have heard from Plugger he is closer to genius than Davis, but not that close. Both poo all over Ablett in the genius stakes, but that is damning with faint praise. George Peponis was probably the smartest footballer I ever spoke to, but he played that code we aren't allowed to mention in a positive light. Bronco Dejura (sp?) was no genius either, but was a wizz behind the stumps. Better than Greg Dyer in my humble opinion.

Mike Fitzpatrick was a bit of a genius!
