Good grief! I agree with you!!

How can you compare what he did with what the "master" sniper Hodge did to Lappin. One of the biggest dog acts I have seen, then he feigns an injury when on the ground. Puts lappin out for weeks with a knee injury. Full on kick and not a blink from the panel.

Did you see what that canine did from Port on Hayes and he only gets 2. Didn't Byron Pickett get 6 for the same act of lunacy. He lined him up to do serious damage. Just cant get out of my head what he did to Doyle and put him out for a year, AND gets 1 week.

Stenglein shouldn't have even been reported. He stopped when he saw what was going to happen and the ohtre player ducked into it. Should have been a free kick, but nothing more.

I agree with you Bloods, it was one of the most stupid things I have ever seen Goodes do. As soon as I saw it I said he would be gone.

What Goodes did is either against the rules and deserving of punishment, or not. 'How about that other bloke-- he should have got more; that third guy unfairly got off completely; therefore the Tribunal is a joke and they should just ignore what Goodes did', isn't a valid line of reasoning. You can play the 'how can I get the whole of my life for murder, when that woman got a good behaviour bond for killing her son?' game with anything.

For a deliberate, solid elbow to the kidney region, completely off the ball, of course a guy should get cited and depending on his record and plea, be at risk of missing a game.

I think the best case is for the club to try and lessen the charge so that the points won't merit a one game suspension. In any case, if he wins or loses he is still rubbed out for one match due to his clean record.

A petulant act, his second in 2 weeks, from an experienced player who likes to present himself as one of the leaders of the club. If he is suspended I would have no arguments about that. There are plenty of youngsters in the reserves itching for a go, I wouldn't mind seeing Laidlaw and/or Jack this week.

When was the last time a Sydney player was suspended? I can't, for the life of me, recall anyone getting suspended in a long time.

Jolly was outed for a couple of weeks the year before last.

And Willo was found guilty of a deliberate trip (which I thought was unjust, particularly given other more blatant trips that have been passed on) but I can't remember if he had to serve a week for it.

The Jolly 2005 incident was again against the Dees - his first against his old team. Funny, if I was after a sniping game the Dees would not be the one I'd expect. Are there some issues between the two teams?

And the fact the Melbourne player was unsighted. It was a cheap shot by Goodes and he deserves to cool his heels for a week. Also, a very poor act by a member of the leadership group who's now let the entire team down by missing a match when we are already short through injuries.
