Some credit to how we have played must be given to the roos. Their pressure and skills in close have totally outclassed us. Most of our kicks seem to be rushed with no time to compose and the delivery forward has been ordinary at best.

What a pathetic effort...you KNOW that North are always hard at it & are playing well...and we look like we are out for a sunday stroll...the tone of disinterest was set early by Goodes shot for goal...and Jude...well he just continues to be Jude...first 2 touches could have set a good tone but instead they are typical of him these days. Any apologists left?
I said a few weeks ago...this mob can't win another flag...we are way behind on skill levels even if some commentators think tonight is just an aberration.
I'm going to bed...hope I get a surprise tomorrow...but not counting on it.Comment

Yes, Swans have been disappointing but a lot of credit has to go to the Roos for their incessant pressure. The Swans have rarely had any time to steady and are looking rattled. They steadied a bit that quarter but still aren't working hard enough around the ground.
Have been impressed by the tackling efforts of Schmidt, couple of bumps / tackles from Barry were critical in the first quarter, and Everitt has got us out of a mess a couple of times too.
But need far more of them to contribute something meaningful to get back into this game.Comment

More pressure needed in the fwd50 - no hassle from our fwds - roos rebounding so easily. We need to lock it down there and turn up the heat and start forcing some errors.Comment

We need to create. The pressure being applied is immense.
The way and style we are playing we have got no hope of getting upcheersComment

If the game goes on for another 5 quarters, we're a chance
Well, that was pretty bloody ordinary, to say the least. We're lucky we were able to lock it down in that second quarter and claw back an entire goal, but the Kangaroos are simply running harder, tackling stronger, and have more precise skills.
That second quarter was a good comeback, but we'll need a SERIOUS change in attitude and detail to come back and win. I think we can do it, but it'll be up to the players (obviously)
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
