    Bevan to come in

Now I am probably Bevan's biggest fan around here (with more than a little bias and blind faith), but there's been nothing that he's shown pre-season and in the last two weeks to suggest he should displace someone else. Some better form in the seconds would've been a reasonable pre-requisit I would've thought.

I'm by no means a Bevan fan, but I think he couldn't be any worse than McVeigh!

You obviously havn't been watching Bevan in reserves, because he has been useless. I can only cling to the hope that this is just paper talk. If Bevan is selcted it is a disincentive and a massive smack in the mouth to Laidlaw, Brabazon abd others who HAVE been showing form in the ressies.

I have been watching the reserves (when they are in Sydney) and I totally agree with what you have said about Bevan, my point was more the uselessness of McVeigh. I think I am Matty Laidlaws biggest fan and I cannot understand how they have promoted anybody ahead of him. I'm not a big Brabazon fan, i don't think he offers much more than a few others in the ressies but I would certainly have him in the seniors before either Bevan or McVeigh.

Think we're short of attacking players is the real issue here....

The likes of McVeigh, Bevan, Crouch, Ablett and alike are great as negaters and stoppers, but there's no attack there.... That's what we're missing...

Why Roos keeps playing Bevan I'll never know

He came back two weeks ago and his form in the seconds and key injuries in the Swans' back six has opened the door for his return
We have him coming in and WCE have a player like Priddis into there side Where is the justice.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Looks like the selection panel has resorted to picking names out of a hat.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Bevan? Bevan? Bevan? If that's true (1) I give up & (2) Roos has lost me.

Bevan in makes sense, all week the Swans have been saying that they need to come out this week and win the contested football for 4 quarters. Bevan at least can do this.

Would think he will come in and get a run with role in defence or midfield, which hopefully means that Roos will release McVeigh to play with freedom on the wing and let him run a couple of Saints into the ground.

Would still think Monty is doubtful with Laidlaw to come in for him if he does not come up.

Saints losing Baker & M Clarke are huge losses considering Hayes is already out.

                              Gobsmacked is how I feel.

He was dropped last year because his form was abysmal.

What has happened to Roos's edict when he took over that he was going to develop footballers and show them how to play the game. If we bring back Bevan we are falling for the same stupidity that so many other top clubs have done and paid the price by dropping down the ladder.

Didn't I read in the newsletter recently that it was the aim to stay at the top regardless of our draft position. You don't do that by bringing back the prince of dunces and a hack to boot.
