"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."
probably the only sad thing about that aewsome day back in 05 when the drought broke was realising that club legends like Skilton, Lockett, Kelly, Round, Teasdale, Bayes etc. will never have premiership medals, yet Paul bevan does.

That is just not fair.
A bloke that contributed to a flag after 72 years is put down because champion players before him were not lucky enough to wear a premiership medallion.
We can all sympathise with blokes like Skilton and Kelly not winning a flag even though they were out and out champions, but please don't bag Bevan for gaining one, it is just not fair. FFS, Skilton won 3 Brownlows but only played in 1 final!!
Doesn't necessarily make him any less of a player, but to judge Skilton's lack of premiership/finals success against Bevan's success is just not fair on Bevan.
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09

That's harsh with cheese. He did his part on the day and deserves his medal.
