For sure, they should have showed the game in full, no excuses for that, but this was a one off due to V8s (we don't clash again this year) and C7 Sydney's fear of AFL leading into the news in Sydney causing them to lose to 9, but as a one off, not really a big deal in the context of things.

I'm so ashamed that I had to stay home with sick kids (who would have only irritated other spectators anyhow).Shame should be on those Swans supporters who sat at home.
Only 24,000 at a game critical to the 2007 season on a beautiful 24 degree Sunday afternoon. Spare seats everywhere.
Any Sydney based Swans supporter who was not at the game yesterday should hang their head in shame.
The coverage was pathetic. Even Derryn(?) Hinch would have said shame Ch 7, shame.Comment

Sellout = Live coverage
Ticket available = delayed coverage or none at all.
If there are tickets available, no-one should whine about not being able to watch the game live on TV.The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

Not in Sydney it doesn't CTS. I was saying to my mum yesterday that I suspect this could well have been the first Sunday afternoon match since before I started following them (1994) where it hasn't gone live in to Sydney even when we have been playing. I honestly cannot remember it not being on telly while I've been at the ground and coming home to watch it on tape.
Out of interest, was it totally a Fox broadcast or was there a Ch7 feed too? The Fox broadcast was woeful!Comment

I think Ch 7 used the Fox feed. Channel 7 would have used its resources for the Bulldogs/Collingwood game which was replayed into Sydney at midnight.
The other thing that annoys me about Ch 7 is its minimalist AFLcoverage in its sports news. Instead of trying to build its Sydney AFL audience (as Ch 10 appears to want to do), Ch 7 would rather slavishly follow the view that, in Sydney, everybody is interested in the NRL. Well, guess what Ch 7.....Run2Live,Live2RunComment
