Mc Veigh is a dud, a wasted No.5 pick, he doesn't tackle, he doesn't sheppard
    hard, hard ball gets.......never
Kieren Jack, for one, has much more to offer, as do many others languishing in the twos'
Send him to the bombers, as a payback for Bomford and O'Connor

What did McVeigh do to you to instill such one sided negative comments from you? Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, however, it is appearing not to be very balanced.

Most of us on here would admit (me included) that we have thought McVeigh has been out of form thus far this season and if he was dropped for last week's game no one would have minded. However, I think most of us think that this week he played a reasonable game, shutting down Pearce, enabling us to gain a match winning lead and kicking a couple of goals. He definitely played his part yesterday in our win.

It's what he hasn't done that has "instilled such one sided negative comments"

I think the gist of most replies is that, relatively speaking, this is not the best week to be bagging him. I'm sure you'll get a chance to do it when more people will agree with you. He did his job & disposals were an improvement on what we've come to expect.

McV is in Zoo Mag's worst players. (I only read it for the article)

I thought that McVeigh's kick to Davis was one of the fastest and flattest trajectory kicks I've seen... a great kick (and a great mark).

May the rehabilitation of his confidence continue.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

I think if you look back at my posts throughout the season I've been as critical as anyone of his season thus far, probably becuase he promises a lot after last year's form. Oh, except you just joined RWO last week so I guess you haven't caught up on that

Don't get abusive just because I and others recognise he's had a good game. Most Swans fans hope he turns it around and becomes the player we hope he will. Your anti-McVeigh posts are boring and repetitive - especially after he's played well on one of the competition's best players.

I honestly hope it does. I'd love to see him playing the way we know he can. Unfortunately though, he isn't up to that at the moment and he hasn't justified his play in the side.

He had an OK game this week, nothing special.

Yes he stopped Pearce, but Pearce has done bugger all this year anyway.

A few weeks in the ressies wouldn't hurt him.

Abusive ????? when and where ??
Time to face facts.....He'll have the odd "half decent game" but he'll never be a top line player !!

                      I'd argue that....

He'll never be a super star like Judd, Hird (The older version), Del Santo, Kerr, West, or a McLeod, but he will still be a top line player once again, if he recaptures his form of old. It's just that he's not performing at that level at the moment.

This line of argument is perhaps a week too late!

Or maybe a few weeks too early - Really couldn't knock his game of the weekend.

                              I could swear I was at Paul Kelly's 200th game . . . .
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Mc Veigh has been around for about 4 years now....how much more time is needed to settle the argument on whether he's a top line player ?
Nearly all 'top line midfielders realise their potential, or at least show it, sooner than 4 years. It's time to sift through the two's for some new talent
