Three ridiculous suggestions have been made in recent posts so here is my response to each:

    1. The "drop McVeigh" cheersquad... if he wasn't dropped prior to the Port game he won't be dropped now considering he's coming off a game where he played quite well. He showed good qualities last year where he played every game and - like Mathews - Roos clearly wants him in the team.

    2. Bring Jack in to play on Aker... Aker is a triple premiership 200+ game player. I humbly suggest that Wizard Cup form where Aker was half fit and probably only half serious will not be in Roos' pre-game thinking this week.

    3. Play Malceski in the midfield... the guy is probably leading the Swans best and fairest by playing off half back. There is no doubt he's an integral part of the team playing exactly where he is, even more so with Kennelly alongside him. Why disrupt that by moving him to the midfield??

I regard all the above as rational arguments so now let the irrational step forward...

Here are 3 "rational responses"...1) We all know McVeigh won't get dropped, but please allow us some wishful thinking. 2) Jack should get a crack, not because of the wizard cup, but because he's quick and fearless, and looks an excellent prospect...he needs quality game time, won't be learning too much in the 2's. 3) Agreed
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

I suggested - "some on ball time" which is a lot different to play and or move to the midfield. Very nice selective reading skills though

        Cheers

I think Schmidt is quite a different player to Fosdike.

Fair enough - I see some similarities and was thinking he would be more suited to the role Fosdike plays rather than McVeigh.

Aker would run rings around Bevan. He's not clever enough.

Crouch has done it before. Don't see any reason why he couldn't do it again.

Have never seen Jack play unfortunately.

Not having seen Jack play is no reason not to have an opinion on him.... well at least not on RWO it isn't...
