    Arguable that if they had made the GF (without injuries) they may have won. But, as Hammo says, the premiership window is a period where a team has the potential to win a flag. I think most people agreed that StKilda very much had that window in 2004-06, but a combination of injuries and lack of determination saw them miss the opportunity.

        I just found the following page that gives summary information on size (including weight), age and games played. Obviously something gets lost in the averages but these numbers indicate that there isn't a huge difference experience wise or size wise between the two teams that played this weekend.
