All four have had teams in the past decade that should have won flags but haven't.
    Malthouse?

I've been watching and supporting AFL since before the Swans even moved to Sydney. Your assumptions and ignorance only endorse your own stupidity.

Yep Malthouse. Think about it, back to back gfs in the early 90's, a dream run with fixturing for his team (think anywhere between 17-19 games in Melbourne) and what do they have to show for it? Nothing. If he wasn't interested in talking bout every single other thing that happens in the league and focused on why his team is consistently average he may be a better coach.

Malthouse won 2 flags with West Coast. Took a fairly average Collingwood side, that had won 4 games in 1999, to consecutive GFs within 4 years. Is now rebuilding them to a decent team.

They haven't achieved anything much since their inception (except for the '06 Prelim loss against us) due to their very poor handling of draft picks and poor discipline on the field especially this year. Connolly would've been given the boot last year if they didn't win 9 in a row last year.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

its funny how the freo supporters/players are buoyed by the fact that they went on a winning run LAST year. i heard haselby talking (after the loss to collingwood) and he said "well, we went on a good run last year, nothing says we cant do it again".

And that's different to Sydney supporters on here saying that we'll improve in the second half of the year because 'we have in the past, nothing says we cant do it again' how?

As for worst coaches, - Connolly is woeful. Laidley isn't much chop either.

Hard to rate coaches. There are so many variables that influence a teams performance. Injuries, off field dramas and plain bad luck can make a good coach have bad results.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
