You'd have to add Ross Lyon to that list after watching the Saints play today. They may have had rotten luck with injuries, but when a team that many thought had one of the most exciting lists in the competition is finding it even harder to score goals than us, there's something wrong. I didn't really rate him that much when he was at the Swans, and since he's been at the Saints I haven't seen anything to suggest that he's anything more than a negative coach.

I was just thinking today - what has Lyon done to the Saints! Their main problem was hardness - he needed to take a talented side and increase their hardness and mental strength. Even given their bad injuries, those two things were the main issues separating them from an also-ran and a genuine contender. For some reason Lyon thought it was a good idea to make them a carbon copy of the Swans - stupid error when you have some of the talent available at StKilda.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Lyon is still on the Swans payroll it seems. He's doing a fantabulous job!

Nope. I stand by my rating of Malthouse being crap.

Besides, if he couldn't beat a team of one or two because the other twenty or so in the side never bothered turning up, he was never going to get a win. Beating a @@@@ side doesn't give him anymore credit.

I think they made us look @@@@.

I reckon the pies were well educated on our game plan and players.
A number of times some of our one-sided players tried to get back onto their preferred side only to be corralled as that is what the pies expected them to do.
Their young guns took on more experienced players and pulled their pants down.
It was only the 2 large crocks in the F50 that kept us in the game by missing.

also the fact he (worsfold) was a west coast champion and an afl champion who is held in the highest regard at west coast would make the players respect him (much the same with roosey).

Wayne Britton coaching could of beaten us.
