I don't think an injury can be blamed for dropping a chest mark.

I totally agree that Bazz in in a form slump, no arguments from me there. But our game yesterday was all about stopping the hawks. Making them play down to a level where we knew we would outmuscle them. A terrible game it may have been for the neutral supporter, but not me. We needed that win and bad. So whilst I do agree that Bazz ain't at his best at the moment (what was with the dropping of all the marks, the poor leading etc), I think this was made to look a little worse yesterday due to us just slogging out a win.

I honestly hope he is not too injured in some major way, shape or form. Surely we would give him a spell if he is. Much more important to have him at 90% come finals time than 40% at the moment.

BTW Dermie is a much, much better straight man to Dennis Commetti than Bruce. I used to like Bruce, now he is just cringeworthy. I would not like to hear him and Walls in the same commentary box when the big boys came out all oiled up. The excitement would cause the windows to pop out.

I still like Bruce, but am not a fan of how the 7 team works, I guess they can only get better, but the Bruce/Dennis combo isn't my favourite, Bruce certainly isn't suited to Dennis' continual joking around etc, but I enjoy them both seperately.

They will have to sort out the support team too, Ox, Ricky and Watson are a pretty average team. I'd like them to get a Wayne Schwass or even Tiff Cherry type on the boundary line and get a Wayne Carey or Dermie in the commentary box.

With you there Lobster. I think the game has passed him by - or maybe we've just moved on.

One of the best things - OK, maybe the only good thing - about C9 and their footy coverage was that we used to get Dermie and Dennis together for the Sunday arvo games. They're my favourite two commentators by a mile, though I don't mind Clinton either.

Maybe he is still carrying an injury, he has been no where near as mobile as he has in past years.

The "no brainer"comment angered me and like someone said through the week about the rule, "presumably that is because the rule makers didn't use their brains".

I think there is an element of truth in Baz not running hard enough or diviong in hard enough without the ball at skirmish/stoppages. Baz can run hard and I have seen him do that in the same games that I have seen him fall off potential "lock-in" moments.

Baz is hardly the Swans problem at the moment. But Dermot reckons Baz has a problem and so do I, the Rules Committee and the Umpire fraternity.

I would hope so too. I have been impressed in the way that Dermott reads the game and I guess it's only that he is in the media that we get a glimpse of it. Where most other coaches don't have the media experience/exposure to that extent before they take up coaching.
