Players who should be under the pump

RP are you being a bit one-eyed? Collingwood were very good on Sat. night. Some of their young kids are extremely talented, plus Lockyer and Burns are having great seasons. And Malthouse has them well drilled as a team.Comment

So for me - no one player was a stand out and all should be under the pump to do better - as for Baz copping all the bagging - he certainly wasnt on his own in being woeful.
However, if Centrebet were to put up odds on the "will all of the Swans Leadership Group play against Geelong this Saturday" the odds would be very short - because I doubt that Roos would sack any of them.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I must admit, I never really rated LRT as a player, but Leo is being badly exposed without him. With the hand in the back rule and age cutting down on his pace and leap, he's struggling against the bigger bodied opponents. Without LRT, we just don't have another option.
Hell, maybe it's time for Roos to borrow from Blight's tactic, and move Hall back?
Leos had a great year, but as always he cant handle the gorillas like Rocca.
Moving Hall to the backline would be a great way of getting him in form. St Kilda move Reiwoldt back there all the time. In fact most of the good CHF can switch back to CHB depending on the game.....except if coached by "No-moves Roos".
Hall to CHB would have been a good move last night. Cant think who he'd match up on well at Geelong, so that may not be so good.Comment

The ever expanding list of Swans who are killing us.....
In a bracket of his own
McVeigh
Need to be seriously looked at
Buchanan
Bevan
Goodes
Had a shocker on Saturday and need to arrest the slide... fast
Schneider
Mathews
Hall
Hell, it's probably easier tto name the guys that dis play well on Saturday.. there's only 3 or 4 of them!!
You blow your credibility by not even mentioning B1 in such a list.
He is a football tragedy...early promise of greatness never realised...middle career as a brave, consistent ballgetter who couldn't kick now over...tragedy of a has been unfolding week by week.Comment

Also when kicking in it would be nice if the team waits for malceski to get the ball.Theres not much left to sayComment

Ted Richards must also be considered as currently being more of a liability than an asset.
He is regularly involved in turning the ball over through either a clanger disposal or handballing backwards to a flat footed teammate under pressure.
The dropped defensive make (under little pressure) and the effort against Thomas (leading to his 4th goal) both in the last quarter were very very poor.
While I don't think Richards will be dropped, the players that are most likely to go are McVeigh and Bevan who both need an extended spell in Canberra. If this happen, don't expect an inexperienced player to be promoted - most likely Crouch and Roberts-Thompson if they are fit.
Cheers

I have great respect for Paul Roos, but I think the time has come to give some of the senior players a rest and try some of the young bloods. I can't see that they could be any worse than the team who played on Saturday night. In particular I would like to see Vogels, Laidlaw, Phillips and perhaps Jacks being given a go in the seniors. I don't despair for the Swans, but I think maybe more than one of them are carrying injury, and rotating them for a rest would be a good thing. As for BB let him rove, he is being tagged out of the game at the moment.Comment

Unfortunately Jack isn't available now he's back on the rookie list. Which is a shame because he was very good again on the weekend and is one youngster I think could make a little bit of difference in the senior side at the moment.Comment

Maybe just a little.... Filthy ferals that they are....
But I didn't think they were that spectacular either. In reality, they should have beaten us by 10 goals.Comment

Yep, it was a good team effort with no real stars, If Thomas had of kept up his recent inaccuracy, as well as the other 2 lugs, we may have been a chance.Comment
