    Swans to Rest Hall?

Gives Hall time to look at that boxing contract?

Has been carrying niggling injuries most of the season, nothing to do with the boxing contract.

He just had 2 weeks off.

Why does he need another 2 week rest?

Should he have been dropped before now?

If the Swans staff were in touch, they would have rested him either against Hawthorn or Collingwood, that would have given him a three week break.

As he is having little or no impact at the moment it would also allow the team to work out that there is more than 1 person in the forward line. The only problem is that even then they would resort to being Hallcentric as soon as he was back in the team.

The team cannot be accused of being Hall-centric. To my mind they are not kicking to him most of the time. Its either 5 meters in front or 5 meters over his head. He may as well be Nick Davis.

Doesn't look like he's struggling with an injury to me. On Saturday night, he was working as hard as ever. He got himself into the right positions - he just dropped marks.

Even if he's not getting a kick, we're still a better side from a structural point of view.

Spot on. Someone at HQ has to take some responsibility for not pushing the issue with him before he starts wrecking things for himself and the team.

Like Goodes in 2004 (knees and confidence), this is just ridiculous for him to be struggling along for the sake of being out there.

He's working hard and trying hard but sometimes you have to give in to your body's calls for a rest.

Maybe it's time to put someone small and quick at Halls feet, to catch the crumbs. I/We have said this before. More often than not when Hall doesn't mark there is no one around to help clean up.

If Hall is "rested" I'd like to see Grundy play more out of the goal square and given greater reponsibilty, to see how he goes. He has been very disapointing since his initial debut. Just can't seem to get into the game.

maybe Baz should just deck someone - he is so frustated - so what if he is suspended for a game or two, he was never any chance for the brownlow anyway - it might actually lift a weight off his shoulders and he may regain and confidence. I know its not ideal - but apart from a stint in the reserves - which I dont think would be all that beneficial - but what is the alternative?
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

This is a good point, Scott. You can see that Hall now often taps the ball down and forward rather than marking it. So, in theory a crumber or two could snatch a goal.

Whilst watching the game on Saturday with friends I found myself for some strange reason hoping that Hall would deck someone and get the two weeks rest he might need to turn his game around.
