Paul Bevan took Leon Davis out.
Sean Dempster took Tarkyn Lockyer out.
Now I'm drawing a blank.

This is probably easier than naming those that were bad.... There was far to many of them!!
Who could walk off the field with their head held high???
For mine, Spida was OK.
Anyone else?
To me Malceski was the stand out. His run out of half back was noticeable. His polished skills and general accurate kicking even more so. He was my best for the Swans.

Actually I reckon that Nick was only on Thomas in the first qr - & while Thomas scored 2 goals in that time they were both opportunitist goals & Nick probably had 2 or 3 I50s over that time (not his fault that no one up there was capable of marking it). Indeed I think Eski had 9 possies in Q1.
What is opportunist about leading out and taking a mark off a Josh Fraser pass 30 seconds into the game? Would have thought if you're going to man up, the start of the game is the time to do it. Thomas kicked his second goal on Malceski in the 2nd quarter after Malceski fell over. Good players keep their feet more often than not.
Swans were ordinary, but if they win this week all this doom and gloom talk will quickly be forgotten.

Yep, fair call about the first one. And also, from looking at highlights, Nick clearly had Thomas in part of the 2nd qr (so I got that wrong too.... ).
With the 2nd goal tho, Nick read the ball better than Thomas & took a shove from him that in other circumstances might have been called interference. Nick also had plenty of useful possies including sticking one down Micky O's throat (which should have led to another free kick...but enuff about the umps). In brief my point was (& this has been made by others) if we want Nick to be an attacking HBF then we can't be surprised if he gets hurt the other way some time. Thomas on Malceski was a risky move for both coaches as Thomas' defensive work is limited but he's a great finisher if he gets the opportunity - as with most of what the Pies tried on Sat night, this all worked pretty sweet for them.
