roosey's got to do something - he can't just blame the players.
unfortunately, EVERYONE knows our plan a, so it's time for him to create a plan b. that's essentially what he gets paid to do.
if we lose this week, our season is just about over, so he may as well go for it.
i'd drop the usual suspects one at a time and give what ressies we're allowed to play the opportunity to do so.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

no gs14, we've had this discussion before.
the "rolling eyes" is just a lazy, rude response ... it doesn't convey "dripping with sarcasm" as well as i'd like it to.
maybe a smilie with slit eyes????

Those comments only seem to come from those who don't watch them play much.

There are four of us on here who post regularly about the reserves players - Old Royboy, Ugg, BBB and myself (apologies if I missed someone else)- and I think we are all pretty measured in what we say about them - ie acknowledging their attributes but not pushing them to be the answers to all the senior team's woes.

The push for inclusions of some reserves players comes from people who would like to see what the next generation is capable of, have not had the opportunity to see them, and believe some of the current players are underachieving. Not really the same as saying they will all be champions...

you forgot me - I am the second pair of eyes if ORB cant see the numbers on the players backs - and am minding seats!!!

The reserves have some talent that I dont think are getting a fair go or given a chance to be seen in the seniors - now is a good time to perhaps try and see if any of them can step up to the big time because lets face it , they really couldnt do much worse than some who are masquerading as players in the seniors now.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Don't think I "forgot" you Wardy, cos you don't often add your voice to the comments on the games. Wish you would - always interesting to hear different people's views on the young'uns, especially given we don't get the advantage of video replays in these games so it's easy to miss quite a lot of what happens.

I get to the SCG about 2 hours before the game so I usually get to see pretty much most of the last 2 quarters of the ressies. I therefore enjoy reading the very insightful reports you guys post on them, as I am not up on the finer points of positional play. I don't believe our "little boys" are the be all and end all, nor do I think they are the complete answer to our prayers BUT...
I get so damned annoyed when the seniors dish up the garbage they gave us last week, the week we played the Aints and the week we played the Rooboys, just to name a few and I see the likes of Laidlaw(my personal favourite), Brabazon, Moore, Vogels and Phillips not given a run. I think a few of these boys brought into the team would at the very least inject some life into what appears to me to be a very lifeless squad and also in the case of Laidlaw, Brabazon and Phillips, a bit of speed and nippyness(if there is such a word)
