    Fevola

    Any takers...

Big Bad Barry is more like Bwah hah Bumbling Barry - he's pretty much shot. Fevs 26, probably has 4 good years left. A complete knob, but that never stopped us in the past with selective application of the no dickheads policy.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Not saying no just yet but......

    When's he off contract???

I don't have any specific reasons as to why we shouldn't take him when he comes up....

He's a complete tool and knob but I thought same of Plugger and Hall. Bit too close to Bingle tho' which could be a bungle.
I dream of Buddy Franklin in red and white.

Keep dreaming about Buddy at Sydney, no way the dorks would let him go.
As for Fevola, well Sydney does have a habit of reforming the players maybe it will work for Fev

I just have horrible thoughts about Fevola and his bookend, fellow bogan Willie Mason hitting the town together. The mind boggles at the destruction those two could cause. Our reformed types like BBBH at least have a brain. Fevola is totaly bereft in that area, it's a bit hard to reform somebody when any advise goes in one ear and straight out the other. Best left in Melbourne.

That never stopped a certain other member of our forward line.

If Fevola came on the market, I think we in Sydney should jump at him. Hall is on a downward spiral so fast it isn't funny. And as we saw on Saturday, we seriously do not have a forward line without him.

I doubt they could share a forward line. I think they may well crowd each other both in terms of where & how they play but in terms of their personalities as well.

The rumours I hear (and these go back to a member of the Carlton club board) is that Darren Jolly wants to come home. Fev for Jolly & a 2nd round pick; what do you think?

You mean Jolly's wife wants to go home.

Would take Fevola at a pinch. Swap him for J Bolton (send him home while he still has some currency) Bevan (they need a tough, hard running, long kicking slick disposal half back) MCVeigh in a 3 way swap to the Bummers, Jolly (so his wife can stuff up another club).

Barry was a troubled thug on the field and maybe drank too many glasses down and Plugger, well again he has his onfield discipline issues, HOWEVER Brendan is bad news on the field, off the field and he is an ego driven nut job.

Yes he can be sensational in front of goal but I don't think that he really loves footy as much as he loves the trappings of AFL; fan adoration and the love and validation of the Carlton faithful.

Not with our @@@@ midfield delivering. He would go off the boil 1 month into seeing what our midfield has to offer for him.

Are you seriously the driver of the Simon Phillips bandwagon? Do you have a licence for such a huge bumpy empty clapped out crapmobile?

Only joking, do tell as I haven't seen enough of SP in the ressies, is he that good that prosperous times in the AFL are ahead for him?

I believe so. Needs to be planted inside forward 50 if he is to have the same impact he has in the reserves. Will Roos give him the chance to show what he can do as an opportunist crumber in the seniors? I hope he does.
