    Very hard decision this one.

He is very capable and will fill a gap left by Mickey O soon and Hall later, off field issues and discipline are an issue but that has not stopped us in the past in a) going for them or b) turning that around.

I just somehow think that the club has set itself to use it's draft picks, especially early one's if we get them either via ladder position or trading.

So no in this case, but it doesn't stop us leveraging off the deal if need be.

As long he's injury-free and wants to play for Sydney if Carlton let him go, he might be a good option to replace Hall. Both his on and off-field behaviour have got to change though.

        Darren Jolly?

I would imagine that every time she meets a new person the conversation would start exactly the same way - considering she would do alot of socialising in Swan cirlces.

That could apply to almost any wife, Nico.

I'd take him. As long as they could guarantee to keep him on the straight and narrow. But I suspect that could be an extremely difficult task.

At least Barry knows the secret sleeper hold on Fev - they could threaten him with that every time he gets out of hand.

You'd have to look at him I reckon but I'd doubt the players would have a bar of him.

I would take definitely take him. I'm interested in any quality footballer.

I hope we have a real go at him.

I'd have him in a heartbeat. He has the best hands of any forward I've seen in the last 10 years and he knows where the big sticks are. At 26 he has 4 or 5 good years in front of him. I'm convinced Hall looks fed up with it all and the talk of a boxing career is slowly sinking in so we need to replace sooner than later.

Absolutely no chance we'll give Round One drafts up - so it'll have to be a player(s) trade. That may suit Carlton who have their quota of young kids and need some more experienced, hardened bodies to help cover Stevens and compliment Gibbs and Murphy. They also desperately need a ruckman, so maybe the Jolly / Bolton trade maybe of interest.

But I don't think he'll come to Sydney. Maybe Carlton give Fev and their first 2 picks to the Eagles for Judd? (who I do think will go back to Melbourne).
                Regards,

I would prefer that we don't persue Fevola.Trouble seems to follow him and I don't think he would bring much to the table. We have finally started to put some youngsters into the seniors and they need good examples such as they have with most of our senior players.I think that when we took Spida it was a big move as his off field reputation was not great (he has done well in Sydney) and we don't need a Brendan Fevola whose background has been mainly controversial.

                    Why Fevola?
I thought our biggest problem is the midfield not the forward line. Favola wouldn't be of any use if the supply from the midfield so mediocre.

                      Absolutely.

I have always said, and still believe we are one tall forward short. It would cause many more headaches for a defense to stop Hall AND Fevola (or an equal tall forward of reasonable quality).
O'Loughlin is not, and never has been a 'real' key position player.

If Fevola leaves Crlton should we make a bid for him??

I think he could do really well for us and it takes less pressure off Hall and allow him to play centre half fwd while fev plays f/fwd. mick and o'keefe on either flanks.

                        what ya'll reckon?

Goodes doesn't seem to have a problem with Fevola joining the Swans but I doubt the club are interested in taking him.

Fevola may need a shift to Swans: Goodes

Trade Hall for Fevola and throw in McHack,B1 and Benny(even tho he's been pretty good this year)

No, Hawthorn are the reason, for not trading Spida to us a year earlier.

Sounds to me like Goodes was given permission by the club to say what he said while the club pretended silence on the matter. Very interesting.

Or Fev could go CHF and BH could go CHB.
