I doubt Judd will play for a few weeks, today he could hardly kick he tried to kick it 40 meters but fell short by 10,his groin is stuffed IMHO.Cousins wont be back for a few weeks yet either so it's know or never to beat them over at subi.

Word is that Judd has a torn adductor muscle which he did in round 10 and should have had time off but he didnt and re-injured it again.Dr Pete Larkins on MMM today said that he should have 4 weeks off starting from now and possibly an operation, but he is not so sure that wet toast will do that because then he would be out for the season. He also said that information from the club categorically said that he doesn't have OP,but a source close to Judd said he does so i guess only time will tell.So IMHO wet toast will be with out Judd and Cousins when we play them. and it looks like Judd wont be 100% for the rest of the season.

I actually hope Judd plays, he's almost a liability at the moment.

After today's good performance by Sydney and the Evils meltdown yesterday, I'd call it a can win rather than a should win. I dont think there's ever been a 'should win' at Subiaco, no matter how the Evils are playing.

i raise your "can win" to a "good chance" but still fall short of "should win"
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

              No Judd = No eagles....

Judd will not play next week, neither will Cousins. If they do, they are carryting serious injuries and will get found out in the first 5 minutes.

I think it's more 9 injured players = no Eagles.

Rd 1 was a "should win" against the Eagles.

Hopefully the swans keep a lid on. Subi against an under the pump Eagles with Cuz playing his first game back will be tough. We also might be without Hall (one game at a time!). Imagine how mad the crowd will go is Ben kicks a goal early. They are still a good side. As NWB says - we all thought Rnd 1 was a should win and leant our lesson. Another slow half-asleep start by our midfield and we are on the back foot.

even against Carlton we were 27-1 down after 20 minutes. As proven in the GF last year and Round 1, we simply cant give the Eagles a head-start, no matter how bad they are at the moment.

If we do beat WC this week then we are arguably in a relatively better position to win the flag than any other year.

Why do you say that Last year we were in 7th and had 2% points higher and we were 8W 7L too.

A half decent first quarter from our boys would sure not hurt either, I swear.

Because I think the competition is even more open this year than the previous two years.

Comparing the ladders from the last 2 years Rnd 16, (We won both round 16 games) and Rnd 15, 2007, if we win this w/e, we will be in a better position to 2006, still 2 wins from 2nd spot, instead of 3.

However 2005, we were in a better position, than this year.

You can never write off WC - to do so would be arrogant and really just plain stupid. After they have been flogged by Port they will come out firing with a point to prove - they will be doing their best to thrash us. My heart hopes that they again fall to peices and we smash em, but they are a very good side and should never ever be underestimated (no matter how much I dislike them).

If Cousins gets through training this week, its been reported he will be in the side. The Swans need to put a player on him who can wear him like a glove. The Subiaco faithful will be expecting great things from Cousins because of the second chance he has been given so pressure from that alone will have some effect on the way he plays. He will be out to prove that he is worthy of selection.
Dont forget Hansen, Kerr, Stenglien & Wirrapunda will all be back. Of course the fact that Judd isnt 100 helps our cause, But we aren't 100% either.

I'd like to think that our Swans will win comfortably - but its not going to be easy by any means.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
