That's hit the nail on the head as far as I am concerned. I already think there won't be enough available spots on the list next year for those who've shown enough to warrant another year. Would we rather punt on someone whose 27, was secure in the Richmond team even when he was fit and was never very good even when he was in the Richmond team at the expense of a Rowe, Barlow, Jack, Thornton, Phillips, or Simpkin?
And in terms of him getting a spot in the absence of LRT, at whose expense? He wouldn't have been capable of coming in and playing on the small forwards that have been Bevan's go. The only other players he could conceivably have forced out of the 22 are Richards and Dempster. Both have been solid rather than spectacular this year, but I'd want them in the team every day ahead of Ray Hall.
