The problem is that it does cost something - a place on the senior list. Personally, I'd rather give an known unknown a go than a known hack. This is particularly the case given the number of reserves players knocking on the door. There was a time when I thought Ray Hall was worth a punt, but not now.

That's hit the nail on the head as far as I am concerned. I already think there won't be enough available spots on the list next year for those who've shown enough to warrant another year. Would we rather punt on someone whose 27, was secure in the Richmond team even when he was fit and was never very good even when he was in the Richmond team at the expense of a Rowe, Barlow, Jack, Thornton, Phillips, or Simpkin?

And in terms of him getting a spot in the absence of LRT, at whose expense? He wouldn't have been capable of coming in and playing on the small forwards that have been Bevan's go. The only other players he could conceivably have forced out of the 22 are Richards and Dempster. Both have been solid rather than spectacular this year, but I'd want them in the team every day ahead of Ray Hall.

No way...our list is bursting as it is. How do we get Rowe, Brennan and Jack (for a start!) onto the list when we still need 3 places for drafting.

We have hardly any crap players (that we know about...ie have actually had a go) all the way down the list.

His opportunity to join Sydney was 2005, from where our lists stand at the momment with a number of promising rookies the likelyhood of us going for Hall rather than a promoting a rookie is very unlikely.

Nothing wrong with gumby except he looks silly doing absolutely anything. LRT kinda looks like Pokey the horse too. I miss the hyphenator, when is he gonna come back?
