That handball to McVeigh 15m out and another to B2 were shocking! However, Malceski also lays off 10 wonderful passes for every stinker.

Those two dropped marks....what can you say. Obviously one of Roosy's favorites though. Wonder if he's selection is approved by the marketing department, being a Sydney boy? (though he doesn't strike me as a particularly marketable person). There's got to be some reason for he's selection.... I just can't see it. The thread title sums it up for me.

It was disgraceful. He should never, never, never play senior football again. It was almost like, "Oh well I've avoided being tackled, so I won't get pinged for HTB."

Wasn't he the bloke who couldn't get a kick for most of his career at Hawthorn and all of it at Carlton, and then retired at about 27 or 28 before they could delist him?

Everybody did that last night - Kirk did a couple too. I think they were trying too hard to generate run without Kennelly there.

He played 162 games and had 18 possessions per game. That makes him a serviceable AFL player, hardly "couldn't get a kick for most of his career". Certainly a far better player than Bevan over his first 50 games.

Perhaps you'd agree with Michael Voss' comments then?

He looked like the Son of "Torture" Chambers last night - the attempted mark off the face was a patented Torture move.

He mentioned previously that Bevan and Fixter were both nut cases. They used to run around charging at the ball without any fear. It shows in his careless tackling.

I have been bagging this bloke for years but have been howled down many a time by the more knowledgeable people on this site as being too harsh, and those that said he had the goods and it would eventually show up. He has never had the skills or knowhow to be an AFL player.

I live in hope that someone one day might say "you were right Nico".

Completely agree. Hardness in a player is a good thing, but not when it becomes a liability. He is careless and does not have the skills required for an AFL footballer.
