Not quite sure of your agenda but here goes.

Eagles played well tonight, especially their midfield and two of their returning forwards. It was at their home ground, a ground they are notoriously hard to beat at. Forget their insipid performance last week as a form guide - their ins made this an entirely different team.

We went in without two pretty important players and lost another at half time.

Do we want to congratulate them for honourable losses? Not me.

But had they pulled off a win tonight it would have been an extraordinary effort. The midfield was exposed for lacking the class we know it lacks but that doesn't make this current incarnation of the team a bunch of losers. They are not responsible for the past lack of success and have done pretty much all within their collective talents to be ultra-competitive for the past 5 years.

One (not unexpected) loss does not mean they deserve to be belittled.

If the eagles hadn't kicked so crap in the first qtr, we wouldn't have been in the game at all. Without Hall and Kennelly, it was always going to be a tough ask.

Disappointed? Yes.
Shocked? No.

Solid performance in the first half, missed some very gettable shots. Went missing in the 3rd quarter and that hurt. Great fightback as always but it was always going to be just that little bit too much. Plus some very very frustrating umpiring

We share your frustration GM. I didn't really expect to win this one, but the loss would have been easier to bear if we'd beaten them on our turf in round one. That and the Essendon 1 point loss were equally frustrating.

LOOK I follow the Swans OK, I am born and raised in Sydney and I have never followed any other club, though I sometimes wish that I could find one.
