Brennan could be a real smokey. He was an early pick (first round?) by the hawks. Never kicked on, Got a bad injury, and we picked him up. He obviously has class, and if he's over his injury, and his kicking can be worked on, then he could be a real gem.

I think he was top 10, but I can't be arsed looking. I recall after his first season he was still viewed as a young gun. I'm glad we got him and keen to see what he can do. I am going to say, and am happy to wear the brunt of raised eyebrows, that he is an impressive physical specimin.

Problem is Staker killed Grundy last week. Vogels would have been better back. I still think they should persist with Grundy though. He showed great promise on debut.

Perplexed about the omission of Richards, particularly given how versatile a player he's become.

I wouldn't have thought getting the ball and doing something with it as Dempster does is a problem. But if it is then Bevan certainly doesn't suffer from that type of problem.

Dempster has two problems. One is that sometimes he does fail to put his head over the ball. His second is that with the Irishman back and Milcevski in brilliant form we don't need three mid -sized running backs
