Teddy, Grundy and McVeigh for me were worse today than Brennan and they were on field longer than Brennan as well.

whats the fuss abt brennan abt, everyone with a little savvy knew he was only going to get 2 games against the 2 rabble sides to see if we has worth keeping next yr and he wasnt fantastic but at same time he was serviceable with th elimited game time he got. what is more of a concern and should be to all is the form of richards and the limited potential of grundy. also it looks like mcveigh has gone backwards again. id love a straight swap with schmidt back in for mcveigh, dempster for brennan and please leo be fit to take big fraser. then we need to replave richards but the problem is with who unless lrt is up to it , but from reports he isnt which is a big bugger.so looks like ted to stay which means he better find form, hopefully 2006gf form, because at the moment he is a real weak link.

I guess the fuss is more about the Swans having the benefit of a raft of talented youngsters (eg Laidlaw) and other experienced defenders (eg Dempster) who are playing in the 2's and who are arguably better positioned to contribute.

And at this time of the year, it is not appropiate to use games against lower ranked sides to "test drive" players to see if they are good for next year. The results of other games this weekend demonstrate this clearly.

The only excuse I can see for fielding such players is to get them match fitness for the finals - not next year.
