    Big Bad "Boofhead" Barry Hall

Fair to say he was extremely disappointing and not to mention indisciplined tonight.
That down field free kick in the last quarter where he clearly pushed the saints player in the back after the kick made me go ballistic at him.

With the free, the Saints got it to Sam Gilbert almost got a goal (hit the post) that would of brought the game back to a kick.

Roos rightfully benched Hall out for the rest of the game.

Lift your game Barry. Show some god damn leadership.

Its got so bad, that many in our section of the crowd were ridiculing him constantly whenever the swans went forward.

He played abysmally. Hudghton completely outpointed him on every one-on-one contest. His overhead marking was atrocious and his ground work was ridiculous.

It was sad seeing him struggle tonight. Clearly severely hampered by injury. The biggest problem IMO is that he's lost his jump, which means defenders are having little trouble spoiling him. Still looks best when leading up the ground in a traditional CHF role, but Roos continually says his injury prevents him playing that role permanently. If that's the case, he might be most valuable to the team as a decoy.

Forget about his jump, he can't run at full pace which renders one his strengths useless. I think he will probably miss next week?

                Confidence.

I only recall him spilling one tonight - were there others? [Edit - this sounds too defensive. I'm not denying it's a problem, just questioning how much we saw it tonight]

Well i say what about the @@@@ kicking into the forward line and not to mention just about every single aints player in the F50,to over crowd it.I agree he was poor tonight but the last couple of weeks he has been good and we have been winning so that's a good thing.
The biggest problem IMO is that he's lost his jump
What planet are you on Young Blood have you seen the screamers has has attempted in the last couple of weeks,if they are not big jumps i dont know what is.

                      lack of run = groin
lack of marking ability = confidence

His marking has been awful for the whole season IMO
I was sooking about it after round 1
That's a long time to be down on confidence

                        He is becoming a liability....

At what point does his poor performance start costing us more than he gives?? i.e. His only contribution last night was that he took Hudgton. That limited effort is now becoming almost untenable.....

We have to use it to our advantage.

He will ALWAYS get the #1 backmen from the opposition + possibly a nervous loose man in the vicinity.

DON'T KICK IT TO HIM !!!!

Use the rest of our much vaunted forward line.

The delivery to Hall was shocking last night, particularly in the first half.

It seemed to me as though Barry's general line of thought was: "ok, I'm not getting my hands on it so I'm going to go out there and throw my weight around." Which I don't mind. He helped set up the goal to Matthews and then almost kicked a great goal simply by using his physical presence. In the last quarter he completely lost it though, and should've been dragged from the ground.
