I thought we had a very good run from the umpires tonight. A number of red hot HTB decisions went our way. Schmidt's mark should have been play on.

Replay showed he had purchase on the ball when it was knocked out of his hands. Correct call and liked how he stood his ground and made position. Regularly finds space 30 metres out.

What was noticable was in the first half, the Saints seemed to be getting the 50/50 decisions and we got them in the 2nd half.

I nearly fell off my chair when McClaren gave us 3 free kicks in a row...miracle!!

Free to NOG for a high tackle. One ump was in the right position. TV camera clearly picked it up, correct call.

Isn't that the Mathews one you're thinking of? That was definitely for high contact. I thought the NOG one was HTB.

Agree with you on that one. Schmidt is showing himself to be a very solid overhead mark - nothing spectacular but rarely spills them.

Not just a solid mark Liz but a good solid player over all and a great kick for goal to boot.
