This must be a sign of genuine progress rather than a hot patch for him to be anything less than a disappointing.
    Couldn't agree more.

On On The Couch someone, maybe Robert Walls, just referred to the great season Triple M is having.

It appears after a number of weeks the shackles are allowed off and all of a sudden said players starts to get a bit of it, kicks a few, he (and the whole team) start to look a lot better for it.

"Along with several of the Swans, McVeigh's form was questioned earlier this year and the prospect of being dropped to the seconds was very real. He was struggling, but instead the coaching staff decided on a change.

"You're always judging how the players are going, and if they are in a little bit of a down patch, then do you keep playing them or not, and we decided to keep playing him, just change his role," Roos explained.

"To keep playing him and doing the same thing, would have been the worst thing we have done, but changing his role probably changed his mindset a bit, which obviously has helped him return to some really good form.

"We were confident in him doing certain jobs, I think what he lost was just his natural instinct to win the footy. When he first arrived here he was a natural ball winner and we had to make sure he got his defensive side right. Now he's probably one of our best defensive midfielders, so it was just a matter of getting that natural ball winning back.

"We spoke to him about it and that's why we changed his role, we put him forward and said go win the football, and he was able to do that and did that well."

'Yeah nah, we tried to ruin him by turning him into a tagger, and then we remembered the aim of the game is to win the footy...'

I wonder what role Gary Ablett Jnr would be assigned if he were at the Swans

he was quiet, but I think they went back to using him as tagger rather than small forward.

Yeah I think the tagging role for him is wrong. FFS roosy and co. give him some license to create. He does have the skills, but I think they are being retarded a little bit too much. Start him off with free reign, then play him in a shut down role.
