Update: Worst possible finish for 2007.

I just got back in on Sunday so I haven't seen the game yet but I read the reports and saw the highlights. From all accounts, winning such an important bout at this stage of the year without the goalie or sweeper was gutsy and indicates that we have a real shot at the championship!

Having said that, we could still finish as low as 13th if we round out the season with the same sort of efforts that we saw at the beginning! I'm not feeling it just yet but I didn't seen the middle of the season. Does it feel like 2005?

    No.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I'm pretty confident now - I think the Saints game was the most likely to go the wrong way. They had a pretty good team on the park on Saturday.

We'll make the 8, it's just a matter of where we finish in the top 8.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

            Saints were over rated

I think the saints will be a really good team next year but i watched their match against the bulldogs the week before when they drew and they were not in great form coming into the game. So i was pretty confident.

I reckon it's felt like 05 for most of the year.

I'd much prefer his 2004 form, but if the 2005 result is the same, gotta be happy with that.

Great news! As of the final chukka of the weekend, we can only finish as low as 11th on the ladder! Thankfully Adelaide play Brisbane, keeping us out of 12th and we would need some really bad luck for the Doggies to actually climb to 10th based on percentage. Top 10 is virtually locked in.

We only need one more win to guarantee a top 8 spot.(2 would be nice, though.)

If St Kilda, win both they would finish with 50 points, but we'd have a higher %, unless something extreme happened.

That leaves Brisbane or Adelaide, and Essendon, hoping like hell some one aboves them drops both games.

Is this the most negative thread on RWO.

I can't believe it, but right now the Swan's biggest "mate" is none other than our otherwise great enemy, the West Coast Eagles.

No matter what other results occur, (including Sydney losing to both Collingwood and Hawthorn), if the Eagles win their last two games, COME WHAT MAY, the Swans make the finals.

West Coast have St Kilda in Melbourne this week, (where they are presently $1.62); and Essendon in Perth the week after, (where regardless of the Sheady-farewell hype, they would be even hotter favourites)
