See in the latest Swans mag that the club has agreed to hiring terms with both the SCG and Stad Oz to continue the current two home ground arrangement to the end of 2016. Hope thyey got a good deal, another 8 years is a long time.

Also 6000 hill terrace seats will be available next year, even though the new stand will still not be completed.

This is terrible news. The way the club is going we will be outgrowing the delapidated flood-fest stadium with its $20 parking & inedible food.

We may be right at the SCG now. But if we continue to grow as we have done over recent years I think you will find that the SCG will actually limit our development.

We have the potential to be THE BIGGEST CLUB IN AUSTRALIAN SPORT! Bigger than Collingwood, bigger then the Brisbane Broncos. Playing at the SCG until 2016 I feel limits this growth potential.

Why play at a ground that only has a capacity of 40000 when you can get 63000 at another ground 20km up the road.

At least we will be getting 4 games at Homebush next year.

You should have had the curry from Berihurikari (sp?) outside the stadium! They were conspicuous in their absence among the food stalls for the WCE and Collingwood games earlier in the year, but it was good to have them back on Saturday night!

Most would agree here that 63,000 was above pretty much all expectations on Saturday night. An exceptional crowd considering the Saints do not have a huge drawing potential like some other clubs.

There needs to be more flexability for further games there that is for sure.

I think the fact that Myles did not publish any set games split between the stadiums seems to suggest that there is a bit of flexibility in this agreement.

I think Telstra works at the moment with Collingwood and two or three other games that can be hyped. There is a certain expectation now for Telstra matches that they are our "big" matches, so I am not sure we would want or need more than 4-5 games max there.

I think the SCG will have one hell of an atmosphere when the new stand is up, should be like a cauldron.

3 still sounds about right, but I'd prefer to be able to move unexpected blockbusters to Homebush.

Eg. If Swans v Hawks in 3 weeks is a clash for 2nd spot, home final and the huge advantage it supplies the winner, it will be a crying shame to play in front of 30K at the SCG.

Having no affiliation with either stadium and only having been to the SCG twice and Telstra Stadium once, the latter is far superior for facilities, viewing and atmosphere. I don't know how you all put up with the SCG. Still each to their own.

The SCG is very interesting, I sit in the Brewongle upper deck and have for over a decade and always loved the SCG and never could understand the hatred some had for it.

However for the Geelong 05 Semi, my seats were in the last bay of the old General Admission area next to the O'Reilly stand and that was a horrible area, bad facilities and hard to get into and out of my row and and an absolute nightmare to get out of the ground after the siren, so I finally understood the frustrations some fans seem to have with the ground.

Hopefully with the reconstruction of the hill, they will fix those issues and also add an extra exit into Fox, which is rumoured.

I know a lot will disagree, but I have always thought the SCG at full capacity had a lot more atmosphere than Telstra at full capacity. Telstra just lacks something for me - still. Maybe it is, despite winning a fair few out there including a Prelim, we really still don't have a famous victory out there IMO.

Now I know why the pie was so awful, didn't realise it was lean.God it really was inedible. The food at these venues does leave a lot to be desired.

I have read that if we pulled a total combined crowd number to TS in 2007, we'd get 4 games there next year, and we did way exceed that total crowd number. Next year I reckon we should play West Coast, Geelong, Collingwood and St Kilda there.

I think the club should try to move mountains to get the Rd 22 game against the Hawks moved to TS.
