we also had, ON THE WINNING TABLE (sorry couldnt help myself!) our own flesh and blood version of the Enclopedia Britannica's with the two young lads on our table MIchael & Alex - although we all had our own specialty subjects - and talents - these two were a stand out on the statistics side and made us over 40's very proud to say "they are on our team!"

But in all a fantastic night - a credit to the girls and boys from the club who organised it all - it is often said that the simplest of events, with nothing fancy often turn out to be the best. This was one such occassion we Chully Buners had a ball.
(Although Jared McVeigh lost what hair he had left due too fright - Annie did accost him upon his arrival at the table- he wont be able to sleep for a week! )
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Poor Jared, didn't know what to think when he ran into cyclone Annie. I reckon he would much prefer the tagging job on the iceman. I could not believe it when Norris came up with Colin Hounsell as the first swan to kick a goal in 1982 immediately the question was asked. That is encyclopaedic, and he's a bummer supporter to boot! Our family now has 3 gnomes, they will of course be personised with appropriate numbers and hopefully signatures as well at some stage, and the grandkids will benefit from the combined $150 in Swans shop vouchers.

I presume Ange will find that the serial number on her DVD is 121695+ORB.

      Great night, great company.

He DOES want to go to the granny.

Now I know why I got such a frenetic SMS from Annie after the trivia.... Clearly too much excitement for the girl in one night!

... I HAD drunk four scotches (or was it five??).
          You know I'm a two-can sam.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

              The usual.

What does the acronym 'scuba' stand for?
What are the names of the Seven Dwarfs?
What is Shane Fell's middle name?

How about - what was the total score of the Swans team in 2005 (including all points and goals for both H&A and finals)?

                  Indeed it is ORB.

Both the lurkers (Norris & Silent) were stars in our team last night, they even insisted on correct spellings, added additional info and I ensured that the apostrophes were in the correct place.

Annie got the correct answer for the %age of the earth's land surface.

I'm getting a copy of the Q&As emailed to me. There were a couple of incidents that amused me: Rhys Muldoon "Q#? what is Vanilla Ice's correct name?" (or words to that effect): AA - Ben Cousins
Rhys Muldoon: " who am I?" - Wardy: Rhys Muldoon

                  A fun night.
                  Bring it on!
