Two hours to get to TS compared to getting to the SCG? Seriously, you must be living in alternative dimension. It's a 15 minute train ride from central. The SCG is a 5 minute bus. 10 minute difference each way.

Driving is a bit longer but not two hours.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Well it's a lot closer to 15 minutes than 2 hours

Fast train from Strathfield to Central (no stops) takes about 12 minutes - 15 if it stops at Redfern.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

As I said before....."after 2 ordinary/ bad seasons in a row" you'll be lucky to get any more than 30000 out at 'dull as dishwater TS'. ie NO ATMOSPHERE
SCG(with new stand) anything near 30000 = FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE

Ok.... I'll give you your 15 minutes on the way out there.... Not that I reckon it's anywhere like 15mins but let's just assume.....

Now what about that train trip back?

Please include in your calculations the regulation 30 minutes standing on the platform at Olympic park...

Since when did you catch the train back from HBB?????
You move 40K+ people in under an hour and see how long it takes you.
It's not so bad a wait when we win. When we lose against the Colliwobbles, it's a bitch of a trip home.

Can we have the same concession and include that 1 hour + it takes to get out of the $20 carpark and the Moore Park precinct/shythole?

Unless you live walking distance to the SCG or in the Eastern Subs where you can jump on a bus to the ground, Telstra is WAY more transport friendly then the SCG and cheaper too. Can't get much cheaper than free.

Not really appropriate when one is driving and living on the Northern Beaches there isn't really any viable public transport option.

Ernie, I disagree with you regarding the atmosphere, there is rarely any atmosphere at the SCG. The last time I remember a decent atmosphere at the SCG was the SF in '05 and that was only in the last few minutes of the last quarter.
                              Bring it on!

Therein lies the problem with the SCG, it's a Public Transport nightmare for 90% of Sydney, so driving is really the only reasonable option.

Telstra is accessible for almost 100% of Sydney's population via excellent train and bus options.
