Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Goodes was good... But in comparison to his team mates, that's neither a compliment or high praise.... He stood out and got plenty of the ball because no one else wanted too. If he hadn't of, I dread what our overall stats might have been.....
Then again, he's been decidely average for most of the year. About time he started earning all those $$'s we're paying him...Comment

We can't have all of our midfielders tagging. At some point you need to roll the dice and back your player to do more damage with the ball than his opponent.
Most sides have a couple of blokes performing this role. For us it's the big number 37.And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .Comment

Hang on, he has worked his guts out to get the pill 33 times all over the ground, he damn near ran the field in the last Q to try to set things because no one dared make a lead in the forward 50 and you expect him to know which one of the multiple players who were trying to tag him he had to get defensive on. What about the contests he got to but didn't get possession. He, by the way had 7 tackles the most in the side ahead of O'Keefe 5, J Bolton 4, Malceski 4 and daylight to the rest.
I believe that to be a very poor observation on your part and smacks of a lack of understanding of the role of a player like him. You could easily make that comment about the other top onballers in the game. Their role is to go and get the darn thing made of leather called a Sherrin.
True as a key position defender he has not been that good but most of that was the season he played with a knee injury. My only criticism of Goodes is that he has games where he sprays his passes too often.Comment
