The Schneider call was probably borderline. After Collingwood got one against Clarke earlier, I always felt they were inclined to award one their way.

Correct - the little I saw of the game we were never allowed to get any rhythm because every time it went into our forward line they got a soft free. No excuses for a half arsed effort but it clearly contributed to our poor display.

When we were up by 8 points in the 2nd quarter a few bull@@@@ decisions went against us. The game changed from that point on.

The performance was below that of a team expected to reach the finals. Sure there were some ordinary interpretations that favoured the Pies but they wre more committed and mad less mistakes when in attack.

yep, I agree, this BS about it not effecting the game is just that...BS. It wasn't that all of the frees given against us weren't there, many were. It was the amount of similar incidents that were allowed to go when Collingwood committed the infringemnts that really got to me.

As soon as I saw that bald bugger out there with the whistle, I knew we were in trouble.

Yeah, why don't we all just ignore the fact that the team played like @@@@ and instead blame the umpires or injuries or anything else but the team...

Collingwood only had 20 more I50s because of their free kicks!
And they only had 8 more marks I50 because of their free kicks!
And they only had 15 more tackles because of their free kicks!
And they only had more clearances and more first possessions because of their free kicks!

Bash them as much as you like - they were crap. But it's pathetic to suggest they made a difference to the result.

the free kick count looks ugly and its frustrating during a game, but i think we pay the price for trying to create stopages and holding the ball up, the umps have been on to us a little more and pay frees that maybe arent always paid, but are technically there.

But that's part of umpire bashing, isn't it. They always cost us the match.

the free kick count again was disgraceful, everytime Mcclaren umpires a swans game, some of the holding the ball decisions were ordinary, James Clement was not pinged after a tackle where he had a prior opportunity, this has become a massive problem, the umpires just can't get the interpretation of holding the ball rule right, this rule is just as bad as the HITB rule. hopefully sanity will prevail during post season and the rule is scrapped.

Is one of those decisions you are referring to Amon's decision to run the ball out of defence by himself with plenty of Swans in support. Didn't pass is, tackled, ball turned over, Rusling goals. Sydney's 10 point lead and momentum all gone.

                          THAT was a poor decision.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

I think you mean the interpretation altered.
