If it's Collingwood it will be played at the G.

If it's North it will be played at the Dome.
    Once was, now elsewhere

The wobbles will have 2 extra days to prepare/ recover.... A Friday night game in round 22 is a big advantage for any finals bound team....surpise! surprise! It happens to be the wobbles

Oh good - the mirror image of comments on BF!

This site is the only site I read and comment on. Anyway the whole point I thought was to express your own opinions, not others...Which is what I do.

It's just interesting that there are so many complaints and whinges here that the Swans are hardly done by and Colligwood are given everything - exact opposite to BF.

Collingwood were woeful last night. Why couldn't they play like that last week?

I didn't think they were a great deal worse than last week.

But the amount of times they turned the ball over last night was baffling, they were hitting targets left right and centre last week.

They've been woeful in all but one of the last 5 weeks.

Nevertheless, having proved how ordinary we are vs the Pies I'd prefer to prove how extraordinary we can be vs the Roosin week 1.

Agreed. Kangaroos have shown over the last 5 weeks that realistically they aren't a top 8 side in terms of talent. They have a lot of passengers aswell, more than us.

Complete lack of opposition pressure will allow you to hit targets easily.

I think Collingwood has been our bogey team of late and probably would be better to train hard on our traditional defence abilities and have a crack at the kangas.

Im not saying "tank" this game vs hawthorn, i really dont see how we can stop them to be honest.

It's a bit of a lost cause (sorry for the lack of faith) but we have only beaten 3 top 8 sides this year and I don't see us in the echelon of kangaroos, west coast, geelong, port adelaide, hawthorn. These 5 teams will feature in the grand final. Collingwood wont but we have played shockingly against them.

So in conclusion....we deserve to be 7th or 8th because we are also rans this year and unless we enhance our list then I don't see how we can make the finals in the next 2 years (watch this space).

Teams like collingwood, hawthorn, geelong, western bulldogs, even maybe richmond will start to dominate in 08 and 09. These sides have so many youngsters coming up it's a wealth of talent and apart from malceski and schmidt I don't know any other really good young players in our list.

Add to that the imminent retirements of hall, kenelly, barry, everitt etc, it'll leave a gaping hole in our list and we wont get much in the way of high draft picks due to the fact we have missed the finals only once in the last 11 years

Our record against top 8 sides is 2-7, bottom 8 is 9-1-2.

                              As a comparison:

                              2006: top 8 3-5, bottom 8 11-3

                              2005: top 8 5-6, bottom 8 10-1

                                hmm interesting
should be at least level though
in '05 we really put away the lesser sides

i remember in '06 we lost to the pies, lost to richmond by 1 point, lost to st kilda by 2 pts
