Besides a poor third quarter and a lacklustre late part of the first quarter, that was an excellent win. Good to see some attacking football, most particularly in the first half.
Another great game from Goodes. ROK, MOL and Davis were very good in the forward line.
Backline looked very steady (although Barry remains a bit of a worry these days).
If the team can keep its positive approach from today and we can get Kennelly back and Hall regains some form and our forward line structure stops over-emphasising Hall, then we could be a wildcard in finals. Lot of ifs though.

A bloody good effort by the Red and White. There was much doubt that the Swans were going to win because of the "tanking" theory, Hall rested and the Hawks hungry for a double chance but it goes to show we're not dead yet and the Hawks look like pretenders. Without Hall, our midfielders kicked to others in the forward line i.e. O'Loughlin, O'Keefe and Davis and they nailed their opportunities. Craig Bolton should be All Australian Centre Half Back, he limited Buddy Franklin's influence in the game.
A very good first half of footy but we let our guard down in the 3rd quarter. However, the final quarter dominance erased the 3rd quarter and it'll be interesting what the lineup will be like against the Pies. Hall is almost certain to return in the side next week and I hope the Swans don't revert to their Hall-centric ways. We've played our worst footy against the Pies and that should be taken into consideration. It would be great to see Joffa crying.
