i don't want to see dempster or barlow out - they both played really really well today and don't deserve to lose their spots!!!

ablett is obviously out so buchanan in - don't know if tadhg will be ready yet and i really liked out forward line today without hall (not sure if he should be left out though?!?!)

Had to get to the second page to see these comments.

I too thought Dempster was fantastic today. Some great spoiling in defence, kept his feet and generally recovered better than his opponent, presented well on the rebound too.

Does Amon get an automatic card back in? If we weren't playing Collingwood I wouldn't even ask this question. But Marty Clarke's given him a bath twice this season and it was likely frustration at this that led to him losing his head last week.

Someone convince me why Hall should be brought back in?

Amon for Ablett. And maybe Irish for Dempster.

Apart from theses changes, LEAVE the side as it was today. There's absolutely no need to change it anymore.

I've been saying this ever since he stepped onto the scene, and i've been saying it ever since. Dempster is highly underrated, and VERY important to the Swans. Leave him in the side, he's like the third string in our bow of big running kickers, including Goodes and Malceski.

Why would you drop a defender who was very cool today with good offensive disposal for a forward. I think the obvious one is Barlow but he would be very stiff on todays effort. It appears Schmidt will probably only play if there is a spate of injuries. By the way we didn't miss Buchanans crap disposal and mistakes today.

It will be very tough on the player(s) who are dropped. Not an easy decision.

if ablett is inj , then its hall for him. otherwise id say hall for crouch. we didnt miss amon at all , in fact i ll eat humble pie if im wrong next week but id leave him out. thats not to say crouchy was bad today i just think there are others who can do a better job. then again we do have the regular hacks that are selected, but they all were ok today. dempster was very ok i thought and id keep him. so is summ one change hall in and mayhe be tadgh if fit. so who is the unlucky player.......barlow.....i hope not

And if Kennelly gets up then Dempster would have to miss.

Fact is, there is no obvious small forward match up for Crouch and Dempster would be better able to take a marking option like Didak. We need Barlow for his run and to provide a marking option should Hall and Micky O struggle.

Hall for Barlow and Schmidt for Ablett

I wouldn't bring Kennelly back until he is 100% fit and ready and I doubt he'll be by Saturday Night.

As for my changes I think Barlow, while showing enough to prove he has a bright future at the club isn't ready to be exposed to a sudden death final. Just he brings run etc, but with Dempster's showing today I think we can bring Hall into the side for one of the two and in final's in defence I rather have the expirence of Dempster over Barlow.

Schmidt for Ablett to me is a logical move. First of all Schmidt is a ball winner and has shown he can get the clearences that we need to take on Collingwood at stoppages. Buchanan can't provide that.

In anycase we are going to be a different team next week to the one that took Collingwood on last week purely down to the defence. We have Leo and LRT back and therefore options we didn't have last week. Craig Bolton and Richards will be welcoming that I bet. Bevan has improved out of sight in the last month and a half and Crouch will be better for the run over the last two matches. So we have options in defense match up wise and Collingwood won't be able to take away anything from last weeks match.

Therefore the match will be won in the middle and up forward if our forward get the ball and take their chances.

                            Out: Dempster, Barlow, Ablett

I reckon we'll take the punt on irish, it's finals footy. Apparently Ablett's injury isn't too serious but might be enough to keep him out for a week or two. Barlow just isn't ready to take that next step in playing finals footy, no doubt he has shown he has poetinal and i hope to see him hold his place in the side next season.
Forget about Hall, it's all about Bradshaw

That's exactly as I see it. I would be very, very disappointed to see Dempster go after todays effort and I am not a huge fan of his as a rule. I think with Tiger out (and I agree he should not play till he's 100%) he added a lot more run to the back line.

I said as much earlier in the season when he was out injured.
