No i think the Swans applied terrific pressure that day and the Hawks simply didn't. They would be very silly to give up a top 4 spot.

Have bitten the bullet and finally decided to join RWO after enjoying reading all these comments. As you can see by my user name, young Adam is my favourite player, but after the last few weeks might have to rethink my opinion on the little fella!! After talking the talk during the week, the boys could have at least walked the walk!! Didn't even put up much of a fight and made the ferals look really good. After the players go out and enjoy Mad Monday and laugh and giggle about the season they brought to us, maybe they should give us a reason why we should part with our hard earned and renew our memberships in 08?? Worst part is hubby is a Wet Toast supporter so now I have to put up with the arrogance and smart arse comments until at least we next make the finals!! Anyway, it's Rugby World Cup season....GO WALLABIES!!!I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"Comment

goodes fantastic
Pity we had players in R and W who gave it to the B and Whites. In it at half time and we beqeather them a couple of goals. Get to 3 points and do it again. Bevan I dont know how many times his name needs to be mentioned by us, surely the selectors read the board.Comment

Sorry.
I just thought I'd say it again for those who have missed it over the past three to four weeks.
Bloody swans. Oh well, at least it's a cheap September.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

V.disappointing result as we basically shot ourselves in the foot given the number of our own errors which lead to a collingwood goal. Unfortunately we had too many passengers and relied on too few (Goodes, Kirk, O'Loughlin). AFL is a team game and our gameplan relies on everyone having to contribute. This wasn't the case tonight.Comment

Pretty disappointed in what was an insipid performance.
We had some pretty dumb players out there tonight. Why we persisted in kicking to players leading to the boundary line in the forward pockets is beyond me. Collingwood put it to the top of the square yet we refused to put genuine pressure on their defence. Now is that an instruction to go wide or are the players just plain stupid.
Barry Hall was useless when the ball hit the ground and the pressure by our forwards was non existent. They just swept it away at will.
Others posters have given Roos a bit of a serve and I will throw my 2 bobs worth in. Our centre square clearance work hasbeen horrible all year and tonight was the absolute worst. I would love to see the stats on it but from what I could see we had 2 clearnces to Goodes a few to Kirk and Jolly one. We could not buy a clearance from the centre.
So who was in there. First half Jude Bolton was in every centre bouce contest, all 16 of them and did not lay a finger on the ball once. He hung back off all other players in there and I believe he piled on top of a group of players at one point. The other person in there was McVeigh, oh how pathetic was he. Colling wood just slaughtered us in there and Roos did nothing to mix it up. To have Mcveigh and Bolton in there is just assinine.
The first thing they should do is sack the midfield coach. Bloody awaful.
Indeed we saw some players tonight who proved that they cant cut it at the pointy end of the season.
Bevan - he had no idea who he was on. He was running around on many an occasion at stoppages and centre bounces looking for a man. I just loved those nothing kicks straight to a Pies player. Made some horrible pressure mistakes. Did anyone notice the Pies conceded the kick ins to him, because all he does is stop the play or stuff up.
Jude Bolton - see centre bounce comments, is slow, no skills and incredibly unaccountable. Was wandering the ground like a lost soul. He had no first efforts let alone second efforts.
Richards - slow and caught out too many times.
Leo Barry - you would think by now under the pressure cooker game tonight that he might just kick the footy long instead of showing the footy to the crowd. Made a fool of himself.
Mcveigh - well how pathetic was he. Did we all see him squib in the first Q in the middle when the mark was his and he took his eyes of the footy and kacked himself at the site of a Pies player. Turned over for a goal and the start of their run. I dont think he won a one on one contested ball all game. Kicking was abysmal. How was that one when he led up for the mark then ran to nothing and sprayed the kick. He has no confidence at all in kicking for goal.
Schneider - close to our worst player, line ball with Crouch. His was a fairly gutless game, looked frightened all night, heard footsteps and dropped sitters, fumbled at the slightest noise and shirked as many contests as he could. No second efforts - I have been a bit of a fan when others have called for his head but the club must have a serious look at this bloke.
Crouch - lamentable and should never have been out there. Too slow, no awareness and kicks even worse than ever. Just a passenger and like Bevan had no idea where or who his man was in general play. Should retire.
Dempster - boy he was ordinary. I reckon he had it 4 to 5 times coming off the back of the square in the clear and went at 90 degrees to nothing and one scewed off his boot 40 metres to the boundary. No wonder he has spent a lot of time in the 2's. Has gone right off the boil.
Jolly and Everitt tried is the best I can say for them.
Mathews first half was OK. ROK struggled and did hardly any hard running.
Fozzie only so so.
LRT - lack of games in the big time found him out a bit but not our worst.
Nick Davis a 10 minute patch but was comprehensively caned by Clement.
Goodes, Kirk, MOL , Mal were good and I thought Barlow had a go.
Some serious work has to be done to bring on young players with some nous and speed because we were horribly slow, make some hard decisions on old blokes and get serious about players earning their place or we are headed South big time.Comment

Bevan was on Buckley for most of the night. Can't blame you for not noticing though because he was trailing Bucks's shadow for most of the night - in between kicking poorly across goals and playing on when shooting for goal.Comment
